أطلق البريد المصري اليوم الموافق 18 أغسطس 2022 طابعًا تذكاريًا احتفالًا بمرور 75 عامًا على تدشين العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين مصر والهند، وهو التاريخ الذي اعترفت فيه مصر باستقلال الهند في عام 1947 بعد ثلاثة أيام فقط من إعلان الهند استقلالها رسميًا.
ولطالما كانت الدولتان عبر العصور ترتبطان بروابط تاريخية عريقة على كافة الأصعدة بفضل الروابط التجارية التي جمعت الحضارتين العظيمتين الكائنتين على ضفاف نهر النيل ونهر إندوس. وقد أصبحت الدولتان أكثر ارتباطًا في العصر الحديث ولا سيما في خمسينيات القرن العشرين حيث قامتا بالتوقيع على معاهدة صداقة في عام 1955.
وفي الأعوام القليلة المُنصرمة، ازدادت العلاقات الثنائية قوةً حيث تم تبادل اللقاءات رفيعة المستوى بين البلدين الصديقين. وقد أسهمت العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية المُتنامية بين البلدين في تدعيم وتعميق العلاقات الثنائية بينهما مع سعيهما الحثيث للمزيد من الترابط لما فيه مصلحة الدولتين والشعبين العريقين.

Release of Commemorative Postage Stamp on the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Egypt and India

Egypt Post has released today, 18 August 2022, a commemorative postage stamp to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Egypt and India that were established with Egypt’s recognition of the independence of India on 18 August 1947, just three days after India’s formal independence.
Over millennia, Egypt and India have long been bound together with historic ties in all fields. This was made possible thanks to the trade contacts between the two ancient civilizations that grew along the banks of the river Nile and the river Indus. The two nations became even more closer in the 1950s and concluded a historic Friendship Treaty in 1955.
During the last couple of years, the traditionally strong bilateral relations enjoyed by the two countries have received an impetus with regular exchange of high-level meetings and contacts between the two sides. Growing Egypt-India economic and commercial relations contribute to the stability and strength of a rapidly diversifying and deepening bilateral relationship. Both countries are striving to further strengthen these ties for the mutual benefit of the two friendly peoples.
